Meet Nicki & Jake Kelly
Owner
At Castle Point – Essential Canine Life Skills, we are passionate about helping dogs and their owners build strong foundations for a well-mannered, happy companionship.
Led by franchise owner Nicki & Jake Kelly, a highly experienced and qualified teacher with over 25 years in education—including senior management and leadership roles—our training is built on expertise, structure, and a deep love for dogs. Nicki currently serves as a College Principal at one of the largest Further Education Colleges in the Southeast and is also a trained OFSTED Inspector. With qualifications in Leadership & Management (Level 7 CMI), Mental Health First Aid (MHA), and Emergency First Aid, her professional background ensures a structured, high-quality approach to dog training.
Beyond education, Nicki has a lifelong passion for dogs. Training her own lively Cocker Spaniel, Bella, to Silver standard obedience, she understands firsthand the challenges and rewards of canine training. Now venturing into agility training, she firmly believes that obedience is the foundation for everything—a principle that guides every session at Essential Canine Life Skills.
